UVeta
 

The UVeta is a household water disinfection system that is highly efficient and low cost, for the rural and peri -urban areas of developping countries. It can purify 20 liters of water in 10 minutes. It uses ultraviolet rays, which are very efficient at eliminating bacteria and viruses, without the addition of chemicals like chlorine and iodine that give a bad taste to the water.

The UVeta includes 6 parts:

1- Lid, 2- Upper Container, 3- Disinfection Chamber, 4- UV Lamp, 5- 20 L Bucket 6- Water Dispenser.

Thanks to its design, it can be assembled directly in the community, by each beneficiary family. The cost of fabrication is aproximately 30 dollars.
