Between 2006 and 2008, 6000 UVetas are being distributed to the rural and peri-urban areas of Baja California Sur, México as a pilot project funded by the World Bank. The implementation of the project consists of:
- Distribution and community work
- Monitoring and evaluation of the technology
- Collaboration with Mexican Government Institutions for capacity building on technology transfer and possible scaling-up of the project on a national scale.
