Who was Niparajá?
Niparajá was the Supreme God of the Pericúes, creator of heaven and Earth and who gave food to the beings. He was invisible and with no appearance; as well as his wife, the Goddess Amayicoyondi.
Speaking of the Edúes from the South or Pericúes, refers one of the Missionaries who say: “In heaven lives a Lord, named Niparajá who made land and sea: gives food: grew trees and everything that we see; he can do whatever he wants to.
