Management of
Natural
Protected Areas
Baja California Sur, the
southern Gulf of California and the Baja California peninsula comprise
one of the world’s last great wild places, a region that includes six
federal Protected Natural Areas and one Municipal Reserve. Although
most operate under a management plan, each has its own challenges and
goals. Our aim is to strengthen their conservation programs through the
diffusion of information, the participation of resource users and local
communities, and the training of protected area personnel.
